Just try and ignore or laugh away at such nonsenses. What is the point in working up an anger?Just the reason why such papers remain in circulation. That is how I see.

I'm so sorry if my post offended you in any way. I absolutely agree with you when you say there are still decent journalists. I was extrememly angry yesterday when I wrote that post. I just couldn't believe anyone could be so selfish and cruel.
A really good friend of mine went to journalism school, and I deeply admire and respect her courage in taking up such a task.
I hope we're still friends...

Can I say that it is best
not to tar all journalists with the same brush. I have worked as a journalist for many years and have never bought, read, written for or edited trash newspapers. In fact I don't associate them with journalism, not journalism as I know it and believe in. I give trashy papers and mags the attention they deserve which is none. I imagined the Irwins would do the same. Yes, they should sue and put the proceeds to their wildlife fund.
Of course there are people who choose to buy and believe the trash because they couldn't be bothered to inform themselves better. Anyone who followed the Irwin story knew his wife was about 1500 miles away the week before he died. So I would say pay it no heed because most people are not so stupid. And please remember that a lot of decent people happen to be journalists.

That is the most horrible thing I have heard. If Steve were alive he might have more then a few choice words for the author and the Globe. I hope Terri sues over such awful lies about her love and her family. I hate when people do these things too..So very sad!
