Xeno, the British are probably kicking themselves
for not being more lenient with America.  They could own half the world if they had.

Passion, you'd probably be a good la presidente.
I hear the kickbacks make it a very good position to be in.

Success -
Man's distorted message of "God" certainly has had an effect on the uneducated - and the educated too!

God tole me to run for Prez of Mexico and fix things up over there.

So the citizens would want to stay....you know? plant some flowers? fix up the roads and schools and parks...that sort of thing.

But they wouldn't let me run for Prez of Mexico. They say you need to be a Mexican National. So I'm trying to at least learn Spanish by the time of the next elections. Wish me luck. Habla Espanol?

many don't give a sour kumquat what happens

only if they benefit from it.

we had it in mind that this was our land from the beginning -- a European mindset that had Europeans conquering the rest of the world, Britain controlling most of Africa and the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent and of course Australia and New Zealand.

only here, it was the god-given right of the U.S. to roll over the less able to defend themselves indigenous peoples.

and "liberate" Spanish colonial possessions, such as Puerto Rico and the Phillipines and institute no less of a repressive regime.

doesn't take uneducated to do this -- just a certain mindset.
