I know my dad passed away almost 19 years ago, but he did see the older children grow up, but the baby was only 2 when he passed.  I probably didnt mourn him properly also.  I am sure your mom is looking down at those beautiful children right now

Yes, I am a very emotional person. I cry easily and mourn all the time

for people I miss, especially my mom who passed away 18 years ago.  I still get extremely sad.  Not just that I miss her but to think how my life could have been with her in it and how she would have loved my children and on and on I can go... this makes me even more sad.  I think the best way to get rid of your feelings is to just cry and let it all out.

I am the opposite of you I suppose, I cry and can't stop at times.
It has been almost 2 years since my stepdad passed away with cancer, but I still cry because I miss him at times.  By the way, I am sorry for your loss.

It was a year ago last September that I lost my mother and I am still
waiting for the tears...I watched everyone around me weep but felt, not certain, but perhaps a quiet numbness? Yet it didn't really feel what 'numb' is perceived to feel like...Of course I loved her but why am I still without the tears of grief? Very good post...
