Just for the record...
This cartoon has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality, as was assumed by some previous viewers of the 'toon. It is meant to address the "privacy of my own bedroom" battlecry of the "pro-choice" (read: "pro-abortion") crowd. I believe the analogy fits because abortion is a procedure where a woman's body is cut into and her child is murdered. The bigger picture I was trying to address is the fallacy in the "right to privacy" argument. Sure, as Americans we value our privacy, but it can never trump another's fundamental and unalienable (according to the Declaration of Independence) rights to life, liberty, and the pursut of happiness. I value privacy as well, but I cannot use my right to privacy to rob someone else of their rights - - especially to life, the most fundamental of all human rights. It is illegal for someone to stab a person to death at any point in their life from birth onward (even in the privacy of their own home). It seems irrational to me that the same person may legally be stabbed to death simply because they're still in their mother's womb... all in the name of "choice" and "privacy".
