I know, but I didn't -
...and that means that I can't have my usual breakfast of cereal and milk this morning, either!! This is why I made it the first line of the poem - because it was the main crisis in my head at the time of writing!! No milk today, my love has gone away... (Herman's Hermits)

Tony, I will go to great lengths to get milk for my coffee or tea.
If there's none in the house, I have to get out and get some.

Tonyzonit, when a man wants milk for his coffee and there is none, there is no substitute that will make him happy.

Tony don't worry, the last two lines made up for the rest!
After all being a good dad is worth
a thousand and one verse
a true poet of the heart
is a dad and his boy
enjoying the sun
in sweltering defeat
or the joy of victory
it matters not
a well-loved son
is worth a thousand suns
a thousands verses
written by the best of the best
could not compete
with the joy
of a day well spent
with father and son.
