TV, I understand in a way. Not all the feelings of course but
my wife tells me the same things and has the same answer, "Someday."

Taps, I agree. For many people it does the trick but for others,

they never accept themselves.

I'm not sure that I like either Mona.

Good question Justi. At some point, time eventually wins.
For me, it's not looks but ability.  I want to be able to do things into my later years instead of sitting in a wheelchair drooling on myself watching "Price is Right."  I'll probably end up there sooner or later but I'm going to fight it as long as I can.

I'm one of the minority
who actually wants a reduction.  Men cannot understand this desire and are usually quite opposed, but they don't have to carry them around.  They don't have the desire to be more active but feel limited by my body shape.  They aren't the ones who feel limited in clothing choices.  Some day...

So, which way do you think that Mona feels better about herself?

Monalisaafterusa  Which interests you more?

SuccessWarrior, The whole idea of getting the fake stuff is to make the person getting them to feel better about himself/herself.  So, it really doesn't matter much what anyone else thinks.   My friend had work done around his eyes to remove droopy lids and excess puffiness below the eyes.  Personally, I thought  it ruined his uniqueness but I didn't tell him that because it really perked up his self image and self confidence.

What do you think about aging, really aging. One has two options to get old or cash in ones chips. All the exercise in the world will not keep you looking young and beautiful. So are those people ugly?

Isn't it though, Straight?
Would people be inclined to look but not really want to be with the person?  Is it just eye candy?  And they prefer someone "real"?

Here's a blurb from a calf implant site

"There are many reasons for getting calf implants, both genetic and cosmetic. Primarily, they are used in a self-esteem enhancing cosmetic manner, whereby, even after exercise, sometimes people still aren't able to achieve the leg development they desire. This is not unusual in today's society, especially with the demands placed on individuals with work, friends and family."

I just commented on this in a post by ladychardonnay. If it's to correct a serious deformity, repair the effects of a bout with breast cancer, or something else along those lines, by all means go for it, but just to "look better"? I'm not so sure. Personally, I don't like them.
