Listen to jazz. Make yourself a "Sunday Morning" breakfast
of pancakes or scrambled eggs even if you have to get up early to do it.  When I had kids at home and worked 9-5, I was up at 5:00 so I could sip coffee and listen to music I enjoyed for a few minutes before duty called. This was especially good in the summer when I sipped coffee on the back deck and listened to the birds, who seem so excited to start each day.

Blok,
Thanks for that reminder! We are so far behind we have jobs due and we have not even done the required field work to even get the job started in the office. I guess that is a good problem to have, but it makes the stress level rise.

Pat_B,
I guess I need help getting over my Monday blues. Do you have any suggestions?

I dread Mondays too-
It's another jolt at reality of how far behind we all are in our projects. Good luck with yours.

I always loved Mondays.
New beginnings, fresh starts, etc.  Especially rainy Mondays.  Will you stop already with this bad Monday rap - you're bringing me down, Man...

I hope he recovers, then I'll be able to take him some carrots!

Rooster, I hope your neighbour's OK - maybe take him some carrots?
It'd make a change from grapes. Have a good day at work.

We can do better with all the money we have. I do support the war in Iraq, the war against terrorism, and pretty much any war that will get rid of the bad guys. If we were spending 6% of our GDP on the war I would be against that. I don't think people like Mr. Kennedy worries about how much we spend on the war. He knows if you throw a big figure up like that people will be against it. I would like to see my money, the government doesn't have any , used for things that aid the country in general. Build me roads and bridges, keep the airports safe, and such. Sadly we are not doing much of that either. We have a ways to go before we can right our ship. I don't know who is going to be able to do that. No one in either party right now is capable of doing that. We need another Harry Truman, or maybe a Ronald Reagan. We do need help though. Thanks for the read and comment.

babe,
The old boy who they took away is a good guy who I really like. We don't pal around together, but we talk several times a week in the yard. I hope he is doing well this morning.

Thanks for your interesting perspective on my blog...
Glad you enjoy your work...so many people do not.   Have you read any blogs from soldiers in Iraq?

I live in a small community where, when you hear a siren, you wonder who is having problems.
