I myself have never attended any school reunion up to now due to lack of time

good point MasonGarrett
.. google-worthiness spans from success stories to notoriety. Unfortunately there's nothing too extreme in those I've googled: the class clown has ended up running his own travel agency; the high school high achieving sweethearts became an engineering manager and a neurologist and a guy who I didn't even know could sing is a singer-songwriter; the guy who had the nickname "Mouth" works the media on behalf of a conservative senator.. and that's about it. Nothing overly unpredictable in the outcome for that lot.

...it depends on what one has done to be google worthy...

I don't know how the double Jo happened?

hey LLM
actually that does make a lot of sense and is similar to my experience. In a sense I had plenty of friends but in another sense remained a bit of a fringe dweller - I never got over the fundamental sense that school was an imposed situation and I really wanted to be anywhere else.

..thanks for sharing that... yes, for most of us high school was an
awkward ordeal... why dredge it back up?

I liked this post Rob...It gave me a bit of a laugh.  Like you, I hate class reunions...I don't bother to attend them, though I was invited to the last one, which was held at the end of June.  I had a lot of friends, but somehow I always felt out of place...

Does that make any sense????

I've tried looking up a few old school chums, but most of them didn't bother to return my emails, so I've reluctantly given up.  One of them acutally moved to New York after graduation, and although I'd really like to find her, I've had no luck.

Anyway, the bits of your post that made me laugh were the idea of getting to see how old everyone else looks, and the bit about drinking too much...I actually can't drink, but I'd have a terrible urge to if ever I ended up at a class reunion!!!!

Take care, peachy...Next time I make cheese ravioli, I'll leave the front door open for ya!!  Great post...
