Cosy, what I have found is that you really don't need a church
to tell you to be nice to people and do what's right.  If you can't figure that out on your own, a religion isn't going to help you.

Goodmorning! In my experience, I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, and I till' this day struggle to shake off their narrowing ways. I found some peace at last, and in my sole opinion, everyone can reach their "higher power", whatever it is, without the need for "church". In fact, I've been highly discouraged with the many atrocities  I've seen within organizations . I follow karma, do the best I can, and hope I'm on the right track.

Tony, that's the best way. If they wouldn't cause so many problems,
I would have nothing against religion.  The killing is terrible and I hate the fact that religions are trying to limit what our schools can teach our children.

Xeno, I just don't think that religions have the answers
Find someone that isn't looking for money or power to get spiritual answers.  You'll be better off.

Adherence, that is!

SW:
Quite right. Respect people's beliefs - if they also respect yours, and don't advocate forced aderence to theirs. Simple. Beliefs derive from what kind of person you are and what background you come from. Both of those things are outside everyone's control.

actually we agree
religion is personal
each individual has to decide which is best.

Xeno, I would have to disagree with you this time
I can see some merit in looking at each religion to see what they teach out of curiosity but not to base your life of.  It's like checking out every motorcycle you can find before you purchase your minivan.

Gome, Osama is a great example of what it's like to aim for one religion

"Well, not his religion, of course," a Christian might say.

"Whose then?  Wait, wait, let me guess.  YOURS!"

Blonde, that's how it should be.
You probably find your life better because of this.

okay
doesn't matter the religion.

what matters is seeking, finding, and following the teachings in each religion that make each of us a better person.  then discovering how to live those teachings.

I feel that God makes it easy to worship him, but people/humans throw in the garbage and lies about religion and how we should live our lives and what we should think.

I have felt led by God as far as I can remember and I listen to him rather than man.

Great Post!
