It can be as simple as people can change their minds. Also, some people are always trying to adapt to external circumstances, making decisions based on fear. External circumstances are always changing therefore there are inconsistent behaviors.

If people ask themselves what are their Deepest Intentions are and align themselves with that then they are more consistent, perhaps not in behavior, but on the highest motivation of their actions and decisions.

All The above
We are not strange living in a normal world. We are normal people trying to adapt to the strange world we live in today!

we have the right to change our mind plus i think people
are emotional creatures....

However, we also need to remember that what we do or say affects other people. So while, we have the right to be inconsistent, when it affects someone else we need to be more careful.

Straightforward
A degree of anything we do is because we are human, but integrity is something you use or not. If you do then you are steadfast on any single issue in all cases. Good post.

I think we all have good days and bad days
I believe that deep down we are still influenced by cycles such as lunar cycles, seasons etc.

I think blaming it on human behavior is a cop out..To me anyway I see it as confusion..

Good question--and are we all sick r somewhat schizphrenic?

Perhaps we have to hide and defend more than we did  decades earlier...progress brings hypocrisy in more technologically advanced ways

thanks for your kind words and visits, Neil

Consistency is not really a human trait usually.

They aren't in touch with themselves yet and are unsure of what they want, how they alome think and who they are. Reading different postings here even I have found it amusing to observe the contradictions in proclamations certain individuals make throughout their blogs.

It depends. On stuff like, "yes, let's go to the mall." and then
two seconds later, "Nah, let's not." It is more like our human inability to decide. But, if someone has van Goul kind of mood swings, then that's mental. The worst is double-facedness. They are all of the above, plus, they want destroy you.
