Well, nothing better
than a door that works properly.  All my windows stick. Because of the immense cost in replacing them all, I just crow and moan everytime I open and close  them.  Take care

If I can pay someone to be a fixer upper around the house I would. Otherwise when I do it , it looks tacky.

I've had to finagle a few things to get them to work. Lucky for me it was all covered up when it was finished.

"Do-it-yourself" rarely works out that way. Personally, I'm a firm believer in "pay-someone-that-knows-what-he's-doing-to-do-it-for-me."

Yes, my door latch works, but

only on alternate Thursdays, religious holidays, my birthday and, unaccountably, Dan Quayle's birthday.

    Go figure.

Glad you got it fixed...

Gotta love handymen/women!
I admire people who can do so much with their hands. I was reading thinking you were going to install it..I was in awe for a moment! Ha! ;) We live in a village where, apparently, no one locks their doors..we do.

Whacky...
'Jimmy fix' is quite the man.  I'm glad he helped you.  That was nice.  Our locks and doorknobs are fine at this point.  But, if there is a problem, I'll call on 'hubby fix.'  hah-hah

We have a taped door that's been waiting for Jim for about 2 years now.

I am pretty good at these things
and have replaced many a spinning doorknob. Seems quality of product is not a priority anymore

Second time I've heard about that this week.

One of the guys who works for me called in because his doorknob failed.  Now I guess I'll have to stop giving him a hard time about it.

Thanks for all the visits also. I'm way being on my blogit reading.

You are quite handy yourself.
But, it's good to have Jim around anyway.

You're lucky to have a handy friend around. A locksmith is expensive.

Nothing ever seems simple when I try to do it myself, Whacky
I'm glad you had Jim to help you get it fixed. I just lost my keys, but found them after searching all day yesterday.    Whew.
