Comments on Democrats Have a New Bush-Hating Hero

Good call, FW!

Democrats are shying away from him. They don't want to be identified with him, even though they have been saying worse for years.

As for Republicans and Democrats being two arms of the same body, right there as well insofar as they are "arms" of our two-party system. But the analogy fails beyond that point because of the radical differences in - or, rather, that should be in - their beliefs. Sadly, there are liberal Republicans who might as well be Democrats.

I doubt very seriously Chavez is embraced by the Dems
what GOPers still fail to realize is that the Dems and Repubs are two arms of the same body. That's what makes GOPer hatred for the opposing so misguided, amusing and sad. Chavez would have made the same speech regardless who is president. It's just being blown out of porportion because Bush has aliented so much of the world.

Why boycott Citigo?

Once again: Citgo is solely owned by Venezuela's state-owned oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela, and Chavez has total control of it, and profits directly from it. That's how he can offer these sugar-coated deals for cheap heating fuel to people he wants to woo. The dictator says so, and so it shall be.

See http://www.conservativetruth.org/article.php?id=3239 for discussion of Chavez, and a hilarious picture of the homeliest couple you ever wouldn't want to see.

Right you are on all points. I watched some of that and became so enraged I had to send an email to a friend and rant. There will be a tremendous back lash on this. It's starting to happen already. I did see a shrink on the tube this morning and he said the man (Chavas)would have to spend many hours on the couch and  would still be crazy. If you have ever been to Venezuela you would know that he really does need to take care of his own house before hoping to come into ours. Those people are very poor. He is an idiot, not stupid, but an idiot none the less!

Why boycott Citigo? What have they got to do with what Chavez is saying?
