GOOD TO SEE YOU'RE STILL ALIVE.  WHEN I MOVED BACK TO NY IN '93, I RARELY STOPPED IN TO MY APARTMENT-I WAS "AMERICA'S GUEST", AND I PUT PEARL JAMS' SONG '"ALIVE" ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE BECAUSE THAT WAS ALWAYS PEOPLE'S FIRST QUESTION AFTER THE LONG BEEP ON MY MACHINE .

Soooo, in summation:
Yes, I am still alive.

I don't see anything else in the photo, fourcats ...
Just my father pouring out of the sides of the building, and descending upon an unsuspecting populace.

Brought back some bad memories.

what or who is that next to your dad? it looks like it has a tail.

Hey, don't blame it on the Chinese food!
It was obvious that you felt sick because you were doing homework.

Mademoiselle
This guy looks familiar. Did your father have red wavy hair and a weakness for green and black striped t-shirts?

posted by Talion on September 21, 2006 at 2:26 PM | link to this | reply

He's watching over you. I hope you'll get well soon.

Congrats, you've won a prize even on your sick bed.

Who'd you meet, Azur?

Feathersword?

Or Dipsy?

At any rate, I thought Irwin's daughter was remarkably composed.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 21, 2006 at 1:43 PM | link to this | reply

err.. Irwins, clearly I've been watching too much kids TV

posted by Azur on September 21, 2006 at 1:42 PM | link to this | reply

Eh oh
Well I did meet him too but only briefly.  I did like that the Irwin's had a different kind of service.

posted by Azur on September 21, 2006 at 1:41 PM | link to this | reply

Well, at least I'm glad it wasn't Captain Feathersword, Azur.

Still, I would have much preferred a Teletubby. Particularly Dipsy.

"Eh oh! Croc Hunter go bye bye! Bumpa dump, bumpa dump."

A pity that
the girl you don't care for didn't get the clams.
We are unlikely in our time to see another  memorial service led by the blue  Wiggle or any Wiggle, He is a nice guy.  We talked over a bowl of confectionary once.

From now on, TAPS-, I'm subsisting solely on Gogurt.

Mademoiselle, New Chinese restaurants and vending machines are vying for victims these days.  Fix your meals (and snacks) at home where you can opt for canned spinach and recognizable ingredients.

posted by TAPS. on September 21, 2006 at 10:36 AM | link to this | reply

No way, Corbin!

In fact, we no longer even feed leafy greens to our crickets, grasshoppers, nightcrawlers, beetles, etc. (so as not to poison my pets secondhand).

posted by Mademoiselle on September 21, 2006 at 10:35 AM | link to this | reply

You didn't have anything with spinach in it, too???

New Chinese restaurant

You do live life on the wild side. That is up there with the guy who got the egg salad out of the sandwich machine at work.

Hope you feel better

Thanks, SuccessWarrior ...

My aunt had a really funny line about my "sickly nature". I won't repeat it here, though, because I want to steal it for a later post.

P.S. Tek?

and the give you internet access in the ICU.

Your blogs brighten the day.  Though Tek still seems to be playing it way too cool.  It's got to be a facade.
