Schatz, I hear you
I've been feeling frustrated, and have often wondered if the positve outweighed the negative on Blogit. The negative including my own contribution, and, like you said, I made the decision not to contribute to it, and to put my attention back on what I love to do: descriptive writing and journaling, to hone my writing skills.
That and to spend time every day with the many people I've come to appreciate and read more new ones. I like your strategy of not talkng about people I consider negative or draining, not giving them that energy. I can choose to stay focused on the many positive aspects of this site. That's a refreshing thought.
I haven't read or commented much on your blog, but I've been meaning to, because I've liked what I've read. I hope you don't get disgusted and leave, but stay and contribute to the positive energy. I want to focus on that, too.

Maybe what you need is a break, I was off of bloggit for 2 weeks then I pulled myself together. My purpose of being on bloggit is to make money anyway possible because I love to write. Take that negative energy and write about it and then figure out how can you make money in the future. Take the negative and turn it to a positive.

very well said. GOod post. We arn't going to change anyone, and everyone who crosses our path has
something to offer us...our judgements often preclude our receiving it. Maybe its human nature that would just rather fight than listen and learn. THe world would be a terribly bornig place if all thought just as I do.

Thanks guys. I have taken breaks before, and been a happier blogger for it.
The thing that baffles me is I just came back from a 'break' not too long ago. LOL If it's time for another one, then it must be time for a permanent vacation. (I crack myself up)
I think your advice is good. I will try to stay where I am wanted. It can be hard for me. I just assume since I know what my intentions and feelings are, everyone else will take me at face value. Not true here. Lesson learned.

Sorry to hear this. I did it, too. I think we suffer from letting ourselves down, and resolve not to do it again. I changed my mind and decided that I would focus on being a friend to those who appreciated it, and avoid the children. It has worked and I'm enjoying myself again. Best of luck to you.

I hear ya on all this. I have had at least 3 or 4 times in which I have taken a break from Blogit. Not only due to just being too busy, but sometimes, things around here just got a bit too juvenile and not worth the stress. However, I think many of us give and receive many positives, too. I hope you don't cancel. I'd miss you so!!

we all have to do what we feel is best for us,
so only you know what that is. To be honest, I think about leaving all the time, for a lot of different personal reasons...and I do leave for a few weeks or a month...but it's the friends I've made here that make me want to stay.

It will all settle down soon enough. Everyone seems to want their 5 mins
to speak their minds. I find that the best thing to do during these times is read those that you enjoy and forget the rest. I hope it includes me, but either way, blogging should be fun. That's the bottom line.

Thanks, you two. You are my dearest friends, but even if I decide this
not a happy place for me anymore, I trust we'll stay in touch as we did during my last hiatus. Love to you both. And just so this doesn't get blown into that, I didn't say I was leaving, I said I was thinking about it, and I have been for a bit. I will give it a fair shake, first.

HI Schatz... I have missed all the drama around here (thank goodness)
so I don't know what it is about really. I have seen plenty of posts stating people's views on all the negativity. Probably something sophmoric or often it is the case that someone's ego has been bruised. You are an exceptional contributor and i as you know, enjoy you : )
I think you are correct in channeling your energies elsewhere... no one should have to go to a place expecting fun and finding heaps of crap!
