Too cool!
I used to exchange hoots with a friendly little screech owl who loved a particular electrical wire just across from our house in the Cascade foothills.  Seeing him (I think it was a him) always made my day.

last May or June, when they were getting ready to leave the nest, I rented a good camera with a telephoto lens and got sone incredible photos of them.  The photos were posted here for a long time on their own blog- I may re-post them.
