your therapist needs therapy!

My drawing style is rather cartoonish, though, Mason ...

It might seem a tad silly.

Thank God I'm not the one footing the bill, Frankenkitty.

That's probably for the best, Strat.

I have no idea what that means, Ben.

I will, Tanga ...

I don't really remember too much about that one, fourcats.

...therapy is fun... take her a drawing of a dream...
..that always gets them going... it's amazing all the things they can see in it....

Mademoiselle, if I could afford
a therapist instead of a martini, I'm sure I would have one too.

I had a similar dream...
A naked lady and a poodle walk into a bar. The bartender says...

Then I wake up...

posted by strat on September 15, 2006 at 6:15 AM | link to this | reply

That must be some dream with the three musketeers are united in drink. Lol.

Congrats, you have the solution on bandanafish.

i always appreciated woody's line in "sleeper" when asked, in a
suggested way, if videotapes of richard nixon pontificating were used as a method of torture, making people watch them.   he hesitates, then, "yes, yes that's right."  and of course, the vw beetle starting up after years of cave storage was vintage.  light stuff, maybe, but memorable to my generation.

All my film school tuition finally pays off!

Mlle, Oh, Ok. Yes you are right. Excellent!

posted by kingmi on September 14, 2006 at 9:12 PM | link to this | reply

It was "Curse of the Jade Scorpion", Kingmi.

But I was referring to "New York Stories", of which only the middle story (Oedipus Wrecks) was actually directed by Woody Allen.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 9:07 PM | link to this | reply

Bandanafish, Yes. You are right. And I love classical music in movies.
Have you see "Slaughter House Five?"  Beethoven as the train sweeps over the Alps.  Breathtaking!

posted by kingmi on September 14, 2006 at 9:05 PM | link to this | reply

Mlle, I have to take that back -- was it ordinary criminals?
Something like that where he was stealing the necklace and "felt so alive!"  His partner faked a "spell..."  Said she was a hemophiliac...Lol

"I like HER for all the reasons..."

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 8:56 PM | link to this | reply

Kingmi, and I was particularly thrilled when he also introduced her

the second movement of Bach's Concerto in f minor. It is one of the best pieces by Bach. Actually, I think that is the reason why I liked it so much.

I also think C&M was very good. Especially the part when they were discussing real life and movie life.

posted by bandanafish on September 14, 2006 at 8:55 PM | link to this | reply

No, Passion, I like for all the reasons I mentioned previously.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 8:55 PM | link to this | reply

You don't mean "Oedipus Wrecks", do you, Kingmi?

And Crimes & Misdemeanors was hardly weak. It was his deepest, and saddest, film, by far.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 8:54 PM | link to this | reply

Bandanafish, yes, Hannah and her Sisters presented ts eliot to the world
again:  "...not even the rain has hands so small."

You've got that "Tranference Thingy" Mademoiselle....
Where you display romantic feelings for your doctor bec he/she has helped you feel better.

posted by Passionflower on September 14, 2006 at 8:50 PM | link to this | reply

Mlle, She's just needling you. I think she gets it, but if you aren't real

good, she'll pretend.  After all you're pretending by doing gags and bits.

BTW My favorite Woody movie I think is New York Stories ("...one nice thing about a motel is the blue powder along the wall in the hallway"".

Although I loved the Jade Armadillo, with Winchester.

I thought C & M was a tad weak, although it had that great line,  "...Yea, I'm a momback"  What'a a momback?  "I stand on the dock and yell to the drivers, 'momback!'"  Poor Mia!

Alfred Hitchcock always wore the same outfit, too, bandana.

Also, Thomas Edison, who only owned one coat ... and no pants!

Mlle. Switch therapists. She doesn't get you if she thinks you're only
doing material.  Some people communicate doing material.

posted by kingmi on September 14, 2006 at 8:39 PM | link to this | reply

hahaha. You are always so funny.
He seems to never age though, and wears the same outfits both on and off screen.

Mademoiselle, I love young Woody. I love Woody old too. He's great.

posted by kingmi on September 14, 2006 at 8:38 PM | link to this | reply

Ever notice that the young Woody Allen looks like all three Marx brothers genetically spliced together?

TCM... I've never heard of it. I don't think we have that channel here.
It's cable tv, right? Strange. We don't have it.

Like in that "Far Side" cartoon, Talion?

The one with the chickens playing volleyball, and the sign reads, "No ducks!"

I never understood that one.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 8:22 PM | link to this | reply

Hey, bandana ...

P.S. A very young Woody Allen is being interviewed on TCM, right this very moment.

Mademoiselle
Is there a duck? If a minister, priest, and a rabbi walk into a bar, somewhere there's got to be a duck.

No, Whacky, sadly, she did not.

She just sorta rolled her eyes, and then looked at her watch.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 8:13 PM | link to this | reply

But I actually enjoy spending time with my therapist, Passion.

In fact, I'd marry her, if only my state allowed it.

posted by Mademoiselle on September 14, 2006 at 7:16 PM | link to this | reply

I honestly hope you don't wind up one of those people who

Is in and out of therapy for their entire life.

Cuz that's exactly what happened to me...and really...not a good way to go! Although I DID have this guy once who made strange faces at me while I spoke. It was hard to look at him -
