I showed up right time, right office, right date, wrong friggin' MONTH!!
I had the papers they had sent to me to fill out prior to the office visit. My husband had closed his business to drive me to the city (about 45 min.) and just after I signed in, sat down took out the papers and in red ink, in said
8/28, and if hit me in a flash that it was
7/28!! Argh!! (I only see 11 doctors for my various ailments!)
But it was NOT a waste of time! I was having a physical complaint so I left a message for his nurse to call me. My husband and I had a wonderful little lunch in Westport, went to Whole Foods and then home, so it wasn't a wash completely. The next month I showed up at the right place, and he likes me, this doctor tells me, and gives me two months of samples of one expensive medication he prescribes since I'm in the Donut Hole with my Medicare part D (I'm paying my way out next week!) I get to be catastrophic next week! Yay! (always knew I was a catastrophe!!)

Can you believe that? A lot of the doctors run that late here too. What gets me angry is they can keep you sitting there for an hour and a half, and expect you to wait, but if you're one minute late, they make you reschedule.

Sometimes, my timing is off but I see that as being pre-determined. It was supposed to be so that I could realize something else..

I showed up for a drs. appt. an hour late one time..I thought it was at
10a.m., but it was actually at 9a.m. But there was no problem, they were running behind and hadn't even called me yet..
