Yes I think though that the work done by artists who have learnt how to enter the flow and be balanced has matured into soiritual art.
OSHO wrote a book called Maturity that is illuminating,

I suppose that writers will have the same feelings after having lavished a lot of love on a story or a book.

It’s peculiar (at least on the surface) how our most creative moments are driven by sadness, grief, profound love – found or lost -, or angst. It’s almost as if artists are bi-polar and their creative juices flow during both the highs and the lows. But you’re right, and the end of a satisfying creative endeavor there’s an emptiness that needs to be refilled. I’ll check out osho – the site wasn’t working for me when I went there a few minutes ago.
