One of my neighbors is so social, she's bored to tears on a day without a card game or visitors. I love talking with people but never bored when they're not around.

I'm surprised to hear this about you.
You seem so bubbly and outgoing here on Blogit.
I'm a very social person and quite comfortable with strangers and large crowds. I also enjoy taking late night drives alone!

I am not very social either. I can handle 6 people at the most, my husband and I included. I get claustrophobic. I let Mr Tanga do the socializing. He is a party animal.

If Mademoiselle's option is too hard(on the back), try this from Shy #2
1. Tell yourself you aer going to see and talk with only one person. Only one person at a time, who you will pick out of the crowd who seems alone/shy/friendly...and say "hi"
2. Think that others (like me) are also shy, but they come out because we are social animals too.
3. Read the newspaper or anything interesting (even about your name origins) so that if stuck in a conversation, you can say...."I read this interesting bit today....."

almost frighteningly so.
Here's a good thing to do if you go to a party
and you don't know anybody:
First take out the garbage.
Then go around and
collect any extra garbage that people might have,
like a crumpled napkin,
and take that out, too.
Pretty soon everyone will want to meet the busy garbage person.
