- Go to When Jesus returns.....
sannhet - now c'mon - how would he explain this to his father?
"....uh pops.....I'm moving in with Satan, ....we're practically roomies now, I've made the city he invented my new home."

Gome -
If I'm Jesus and I'm planning a return engagement, I'm thinking Vegas makes the most sense. Lots of sin to keep me busy and some great ways to blow off steam!

SuccessWarrior -- so you are basically saying that the human race has
been fooled by a typo for 2 millenia?
...we're doomed as a species.....no doubt about it.

I would take a guess at Egypt
From what I've been able to find out so far, this is where the story of the Sun of God started. It would be fitting that it should end there.
The problem, as you pointed out, is that there was no Son of God, only the Sun of God. It returns every year and all these people waiting around keep missing it.

The_TAO_of_Drew -- when you think about it - why would he return?
As you allude to; the first time around didn't go so well. Not to mention that if the entire deal was orchestrated by his dad, who is supposedly all powerful and all knowing, you can bet that they are both rethinking the salvation business. ....where did we go wrong son? Hey dad....what gives? ..didn't you see the crucifixion coming?....Sorry, I don't mean to make complete light of the fact that there are those who hold that an all powerful omnipotent being sent his only son incarnate as man to almost completely fail at the salvation of our species. But it does make one wonder how the notion of a pagan blood sacrifice for redemption survives as a fundamental religious tenet in this day and age.

Would you come back if you were Jesus?
The first time was painful, diminishing results and a whole universe to explore. I wold imagine that earth was once a fantastic destination, but with the overabundance of people and egos, any diety with pull is not chosing Earth. I don't think Beethoven would pick the biker bar in Punxatawny to make his return, Queen Elizabeth is probably not dining on Spam'wiches every night and an "All Mighty" being choosing to return to our unkempt 'burb would be highly unlikely.
Maybe this is the best he can do?

Xeno-x - those who believe that we are in pre-tribulation times come up
with ridiculous scenarios that are cartoonish in nature.
They have Jesus appearing in the sky above the earth and lifting up the faithful to heaven. Which of course includes them.

1/3?
not even that -- most of that 1/3 don't believe in the 2nd coming.
that rest have conflicting scenarios.
so to which scenario is it supposed that Jesus will come?
i notice our Blot pseudo-Christians don't have an answer for any of this.
