...accepting the other as other.

I like that because it implies accepting and being acceptd in our differences and flaws.

Life sure is interesting isn't it?

I guess I’m in the reappraisal stage but I’m happy to report I’m not slipping into a tragic state of disappointment or anything.  I still like what I see (married 4 months now) – I’m just seeing it without the those rose coloured glasses.

Nice food for thought. I think a parent/ child relationship goes like this, too. But, it evolves over many years instead of many months.
