Xeno-x - I've seen my name or referrences to me go by in comments
a fair bit.
Mind you it is always the same few people joining in with the same group in a bashing session. They also spend a great deal of time emailing each other gossiping about other Blogit members but there are chinks in their little clique's armor. I've had a couple of their emails forwarded to me by well meaning friends who thought that I actually care what a handful of simpletons have to say about me. That is what they are to me; simpletons. If this is how they wish to spend their time, I have nothing but pity for their pathetic lives.

there's far too much of what you describe on Blogit.
I think the folks at Blogit should probably clamp downo this stuff.
it squelches fair interchange of ideas.

Bhaskar.ing - that's generally what I do with these kind of people
Once I get a bit of click mileage from them, I move on....You can't make people smarter by arguing with them.

Just ignore them and get on with other more important things could be a solution. At least, that's what I think. What do you say ? Bile-splatting among 2 or 3 is smelly and obnoxious for others to watch.

I can't wait to get there, ya know...the heated pools and all? Hahaha
Ya know one of the things I've found most satisfying about being a Pagan? Is that when people try to send me to hell, I can always come back with "I don't believe in hell", and no matter how they try to argue their point...they can't get me beyond that one.

Sunnybeach7 - you are definitely going to hell then
There is no doubt about it. All you have to do is consider the source of this valuable information. A person that knows you by your username and postings on a blogging site is able to make the determination of how you will be spending eternity. Aside from this person being extremey gifted in making these assessments of nearly complete strangers and the fact that it isn't likely that ol St. Peter gave up his day job of tending the pearly gates to a blogger...........what about it don't you believe?

It's hypocritical, I tell ya! I was even reserved a space in hell by someone! Lucky me, aye?

Sunnybeach7 - I was going to call a few people on this but I said to myself
what's the point?
A couple of them routinely bash others as well, I'm not the only one. I find them quite funny, in a sad and pathetic kind of way.

I see this often around here, and have somewhat been the victim of such myself.

BlackPearl1 - thanx for stopping in
I won't have any problem letting this all slide but I wouldn't count on some members of the God squad letting this die....I have to agree with what you are saying. The part of our maturity that allows us to stop engaging in these childish activities is the recognition that none of us are exempt from this type of behaviour.

Hi, gomedome,
Just checking in to see what you're writing lately. Certainly, all Christians need to work on ourselves. We say and do mean things, including gossip. It is a bad habit. It's rude, and it's all un-Christian like, as in, not like Christ, not to say unlike those of us who call ourselves Christians, because we do it way too much. To behave like this at all is not in keeping with what Christ wants for us. Shame on us.
As I've gotten older, and more mature, I'd like to think I've grown out of and away from this kind of behavior for the most part, but it takes growth and effort, in my opinion. Some of us don't feel like we need to grow, and others of us just don't bother with the effort. That goes for Christians and non-Christians, too. It's a terrible shame, but it's not behind God's back. He sees and knows it. Those of us who fool ourselves into thinking it goes unnoticed are mistaken. Just my thoughts. Thanks for letting me share. :)

TVBlogger - and all of this from a crazy little man who never wears pants?
It is crazy but unfortunately it is not harmless. The institution he represents exacerbates world problems concerning poverty and health issues as much as they appease these same issues.

I was also amazed at the silliness of these two thoughts -- that we must emulate the 3rd world which places a higher value on religion and that only religion and not science, can end AIDS. Uh, excuse me, but which countries have a full blown AIDS crisis?... those in the 3rd world where the church condemns condom use and supersition reigns supreme over science. Ridiculous... simply ridiculous.

TVBlogger - that's it really, a complete lack of spine
Fortunately there are only a handful of them, they are a little clique that panders to each other's nonsensical take on life. It isn't a coincedence that they are to a person, complete screw ups in life. I go easy on them because of this, beating on pathetic people would only make me more pathetic......
I quickly read the article of the link you provided. Now those are the words of a crazy person. The man and his institution are stuck in a time warp. Again we see religious leaders asking the rest of the world to dumb it down so that their ever redundant message does not become obsolete so rapidly. This time he wants us to somehow envy the superstitions and ignorance of the 3rd world.......

I think they want you to read it
That's my theory. It's their bully pulpit where no one can interrupt and they can say things they would never have the courage to say while looking you in the face. Then again, I haven't read what they've said and if it truly can get them kicked off, they're idiots.
If you follow the news you may have seen this, but I thought it might provide fodder for a column...
The Pope gives his views on science.
