I agree with
Whacky. It is in the human nature of things.

It is all a part of being human...that's what we are.

Avant-
You've been rather hard on yourself lately. You were the one who pointed out to me not too long ago we are here for so much more than things, possessions and objects. But I won't be too hard on you. Thanks for sharing your introspective feelings; it shows you are human like the rest of us!

I reread what I wrote, and I was intimating at realizing that things of this world can never complete us- no matter how hard we try to make it so.

Thanks for your input. So many things we look for here are hidden from us by our insistence on it not being the cause.

Thanks for reading this. I know it's not very clear, but it is what I feel sometimes.

I'm thankful for the read. I'm just exploring my darkness again.

Nah… that’s not your reason for being here. I forget which overly touted tv guru uses this expression but I play it back to myself when I find myself in a negative mode; “What’s the pay off?” One always exists even if it’s not necessarily a good one.

Hi, avant-garde,
Wow. "Querulous" is not a word one sees every day. It's was hard for me to get past that one; but I do understand (I think) your thoughts about a quest for validation, and many of my own other exercises in futility. Thanks. :)

avant--
it might be too early in the a.m. for me--this is the first post of yours I can't quite figure out. I am not really sure of the point you are making. (but at least it didn't make me cry, like the dog story, lol).
