It's sad that these con artists exist, and moreover take advantage of those kind souls who want to help humanity.

I learned that the term 'scumbag' originated in England in the 19th century. It was a common term for a condom.

Montreal is the capital of telemarketers scam. The laws are too lax.

I got a similar offer a year or so ago and gave $20 dollars or so
These assholes always tell you you win a huge amount of money but you need to pay twenty dollars to cover some expense.  If you are going to give me a million dollars, surely you have twenty dollars to cover the incidental expenses.  Don't give anybody anything unless you check their validity first.

Hi, Vibrance,
I hope your friend gets her money back.  Kind hearted people always seem to have someone waiting to take advantage of them.  We all want to believe so badly that a "good thing" is legitimate, and the scammers exploit that in us whenever they can.  I agree with you that what goes around comes around.  Thanks.  :)
