Here's the ultimate thing for coughs & colds:
At bedtime... (not before class).  One (only one) cup of hot lemonade, sweetened with a tablespoon or two of honey and one slight ounce of honey gold single malt Irish whiskey -- preferrably Bushmills.  You'll relax to the tips of your toes, you'll rest, and your body will fight off the cold & flu bugs.  And if it doesn't work, at least you'll get some rest.

If I keep getting bugs from the kids I will just quit that place!  I can't go through a whole winter of this.

Nanaroo... yep, once my nieces came around, I was sick constantly!
If you're going to keep teaching, you'll need something to warn off the germs.  Why are kids always so sick?  Geesh.

thanks!  I haven't been sick for about two years but being aroundf all these kids and their sniffles did it to me!  I'll check into that oil of oregano.

ouch... sorry to hear this. take a hot steamy shower....
and get lots of rest.  I've never understood summer colds.  btw... quite a while ago, Reni recommended oil of oregano if you get lots of respiratory colds.  I used to get at least one sinus infection a season (usually two) until last year.  I started taking the stuff and haven't had a cold since... I can't remember the last time I even had the sniffles.  Could be coincidence, but I dunno.

Hi, Nanaroo,
Feel better, soon.  Here's a big hug for you.  :)  Also, I believe the blogger naorem posts all kinds of home remedies.  Maybe there's something on his blog about brochitis.  I'm not sure that he still posts stuff here, but I've seen some  pretty interesting stuff that I'd be inclined to try.  God bless you, and get  plenty of rest, too.  :)

Nana,
hot tea, rum, sugar and lemon to taste! Works for me, and when it doesn't, I just add a bit more rum and don't care any more...

thank you- hmmm I do take bee propolis, which is wonderful for the immune system.  I know what ghee is but I hadn't heard of cow ghee!    It sounds happy.
