Freemanwalking, I was seriously bummed today because Marco the

Brazilian jazz guitarist who plays at the coffee shop, or did until this summer, hasn't come back, which I thought he would after he was through playing weddings.  I guess it's always time to move up, and stop playing coffee shops, but Saturdays listenitng to his amazing guitar work was one of the highlights of my week.

Did you really see Tanya Tucker sitting in on a band?  What a treat. (and I didn't click your links to find out which one was the Hot Asian girls, not my thing at all!)

How delightful!
You should come to our farmer's market.  I was just there this morning, and a banjo player was at one end, and a guitar player at the other, and I'd venture to guess (although I did not look all that close) there was a minimum of $20 in the cases of each player.

FreeManWalking, My Dad would have liked this post and your last comment.  He was a guitar man at heart.  I wrote a post once about him and the story of the time he had to sell his guitar so he could buy a bit of gas for his Model-T Ford during The Great Depression.

TAPS - I've heard it said a wine is alive because it developes, matures,
then declines in the bottle.  A good, solid wood guitar is the same way.  In a few months this guitars wood will "open up", creating a richer sound.  Fluxuations in humidity will alter its sound and even its shape.  Sweat, dinks and time will wear the finish and change the complxion of the wood.  I guess guitars are alive as well.

FreeManWalk, I love musicians playing on the street for tips.  There is something about it that makes me smile and feel like doing a quick two-step.  It was one of the things that I loved about Paris and Madrid and is one of the things that I love about our Country Club Plaza in KC.  But, about guitars I know not much.  Your words, woody... full throated, clear, but not booming, sound like an evaluation of a good wine.  LOL

Well, looks like the perversity of the Internet strikes again. Obviously I
added a lot of link in this post but I DID NOT add a link to "Asian girls"...looks like the sorry ass pornographers managed to do that on their own.
