Naut,
Not many bears here in Texas. There will be some of the smaller, black bears in East Texas. The only we'll see around here are in the zoo.

sarooster,
67 overnight? Sounds good to me! And a bear claw? Never heard of it either! I guess it's the closest you guys down there in Texas come to a real bear...

That is pretty cool for here right now Blok!
67 in Alaska must feel like 125!

67 degrees?
It was 67 degrees in Alaska yesterday! I wouldn't mind that though.

I know exactly the pastry you describe, Rooster. Next time I'm out and I
see one, I'm going to find out what we call them here and I'll let you know. Starbucks-a-plenty exist over here, so I'm sure I'll track one down.

Dave,
A "bear claw" is a pastry with about 100 grams of fat in it. It's pretty delectable if you are on a "high-fat" diet like I am. It's really a cinammon roll-type pastry that has some kind of icing or such on top. I am sure you have a similar type food in England. I guess somewhere along the line someone thought it looked like a bear claw!!
