a bit like me, but I am not musical, I don't have a musical bone in my body
apart from squeaking, no melody comes out. well rhythm is English is hard to feel at times. Keep writing. I find I can write even when I have little to say, the stuff comes up, regardless of quality it ends up on paper for want of a better word.

Some poems come quickly, some take time...
Sometimes an idea or a theme will enter my head, I grab a pen and paper, and I've got the whole thing written in five minutes or less. On the other hand, I often go months at a time with no inspiration at all and don't write anything.

I'm a musician, so I primarily write songs. All of the entries I've made thus far are actual poems that I have written, just for the sake of poetry... but I will soon be posting some of my musical selections as well.

well then good, this is some of the best stuff I have read in a while here.
Some people write well but there is always something amiss, never quite perfect enough for me, how long do you spend on each poem? Does it come easy to you or do you have to work at it for a while? I am hoping you will say, a lot of work, otherwise I will be soo envious. Envy oh very bad word, not very godly is it.

Disappear?
I really have no intention of "disappearing" from
Blogit. I thought this would be a
fun forum for me (say that three times really fast) to post my work and to get some feedback from other poets. I plan to continue posting my new poetry here as I write it as well as some of the old stuff from deep inside my closet. If you guys think it's so good, then I guess that just means you'll keep coming back for more?

are you going to "drop" all your stuff on blog it and then disappear?
Just wondering, this is no place for you here. We are all "babies" in terms of writing that is.

She has a French name, very special. Gee, I could never write like that... but then does it matter?

The origin of this poem...
I wrote this poem for my fiancée and had it professionally recorded to be played for her at our wedding reception. I was inspired to pattern the prose after Shakespearean English when I realized the loose translation of my soon-to-be wife's name... Julie Renée... "fair one, born again."

beautiful... it reminds me of Shakeaspeare or ....
I know I read something similar, but no it is not plagiarism, you have a true sense of rhythm that I lack, but great anyway.
