Aw, bel,
I was going to guess that there's no good "butt shot" in the second photo. :) I'm glad you had a good time. :)

in the second picture he has sea shells. The first, I suspect are probably car keys as we were just arriving when I snapped that picture.
We had a wonderful time. I was glad to get home to Pam, but I would not trade a single second.

Hi dear one, hope you're having fun. What is in his left hand? He is holding it close in to his body in both photographs while the right side in the second photo is footloose and free?

I always love the way you see things! What a beautiful way to describe it all.

While the fighter jet would not be impossible, I believe that is actually an imperfection from the film or on the lens.

The mood of each photo is very different...
In the first one, he's going away. The path seems difficult to stray from, and there are shadows in the atmosphere, despite the clear sky and open beach. He's holding it tight, keeping it together. In the second he's literally kicking back, open, coming back. There's a sense of peace in the second photo, no direct limiting path to be followed. Fantastic photo essay!

Awe!
I'm so happy for you......it seems like you two had a second honeymoon.....good quality time together!
I want to read a blog all about your impressions of Florida and the people there....the good, the bad and the ugly. I can handle it!

Blonde got it!
The first photo took my breath away when I first saw it. He had arrived in Kuwait the day I picked up the photos. This was the first one on the disk and it seem to capture all I was feeling.
The second one again was taken without intention but turned out so beautifully, this time he is coming toward me instead of walking away.

Carl looks like a kid again in the 2nd pic, getting his feet wet and
enjoying..in the 1st pic he looks far away (not just in distance) and lost in very adult thoughts as to what lies ahead..

Lovely!
It seems that in the first picture Carl is walking away from you and now he is walking towards you.....towards your new future together!

Carl looks much more relaxed in the second photo, Bel,
There is something almost metaphorical about the first one.

Very nice photos Bel
Glad you are back. Hmm, the difference? I agree with the other commenter, (sorry, can't remember now who it is - getting sleepy...:) his posture and stance as a whole is so much more relaxed in the second picture. Looks like you had a nice time.

I have looked closely at the photo's
What I see is that in the first Carl is almost marching, preoccupied and does not seem to be relaxed. In the second he seems to be strolling and enjoying the beauty of his surroundings. Great photo's. Hope you enjoyed the break to the ocean.
