Thanks, Cy, for validating Bush's re-election!
If the popular vote is all that matters, then quit bitching about him being in the White House.

Thanks for commenting!

Always welcome here. A couple of responses:

  1. You'd think Bubba was the king of the liberals  based on the news media's adulation of him.
  2. Bubba was adroit at winning elections, but if that is a virtue then George W. Bush is the master of him based on popular vote. Bush, if I'm not mistaken, got more votes than Bubba either time. (I still recall Bubba's 43% mandate.)
  3. Interesting way to describe the war on terror. To turn it around, Bubba was afraid to throw rocks at anybody for fear of getting hit back. Hence the repeated blunders of inaction re Osama bin Hidin and terror attacks against the U. S.

CLINTON AS UNIVERSAL SYMBOL OF LIBERALISM
I would just like to comment on your opinion that Bill Clinton is the leader of all liberals. This seems to be a common practice in conservtive commentary, the unification of all liberals behind the popular 1990's president. I personally do not have a shrine to Billy boy in my closet nor do I think he was the most effective president. He certainly dropped the ball for the better part of the decade on Bosnia. And his big plan for universal healthcare did not get too far, in his own words because he let insurance companies help design potential reforms. What he was the king of was winning elections. And I would vote any day for Clinton over Bush or any number of neocons although I would rather see Russ Fiengold in the White House. What Clinton had was an iota of competence. Bush is still just a child in a frightening world, tossing rocks at shadows in the dark without knowing what he is hitting or how hard they will hit back.
