I'm considered over weight as well and I like women with curves
It's more about fitness than weight but obesity in many people is a sign of unfitness.

Americans in Europe would probably be skinny
because they'd be starving from lack of access to all but a few of the guilty pleasures of eating. In NM we have a raging epidemic of obesity and diabetes, particularly among the Navajo. For a poor state, we are amazingly fat. Even I am classified by BMI as oveweight right now, but people see me and actually criticize me for wanting to lose the weight. "You're too skinny already."
I like Rubenesque woman with curves, and i detest the fashion passion for skinniness, but I worry that we will over accept fat as a birthright, as a sign of prosperity and as a universal acceptance of self. We can accept the differnt body shapes we have, then strive to be as healthy in them as possible. What's rith for each of us is what helps us feel capable within our bodies, helps us remember our animal nature as moving, doing beings, and helps us live long.
