I believe that with all of my heart. The changes do not have to be huge in numbers. Sometimes just changing one small thing can make a HUGE difference.

bel, this line that you wrote moved me.
Folks. all it takes is one person reaching out and we can change the world. If this is not your thing, that is fine; find what is and change the world. You will be so glad you did.

It was the idea of a local Vietnam Vet who wanted to reach out to others.

THis program sounds great! Mentoring in any form is really helpful, re-creating the sharing of wisdom across people and generations that tribal living offered. How did the program come about? Was it locally organized or part of a larger program?

I am very glad to hear that there
is support available for returning soldiers. I am just curious, do the wives, girlfriends and familes not suffer a sort of trauma while their loved ones are away in war torn areas? Is there a support group for them?

Oh no, Bel....I sooooo hate to hear that about Greg.
Bel, what part of Florida are you heading for? Please keep a close eye on the weather channel. Hurricanes are unpredictable.

He found one and I don't like her. In fact the additional damage she has caused in a short time has me wanting to go hurt her.

Have you been working on my idea? The one about finding him a girlfriend? That might do more than anything.

I would be happy to do so. I can send you some info on some books and I can probably get you a copy of one of the books at no cost. I may be tommorow before I get the info to you but I will do it! Thank you!

My husband is a vet, not in the sense you are talking I believe. He was in Germany for a while during Nam but never sent to Nam. He is also a Pastor. We would love to offer support for both vets and families. Can you give me more information? Just e mail me if you like.
