Are you hoarding money as well?

My husband and I are both packrats, but he's actually worse than I am,
which is very hard to believe if you know how much stuff I have saved.  Every once in a while, though, I, at least, will get rid of whole bunches of stuff.  I think it should get easier as I get older since some of my options will become dead letters, so to speak....

Your fellings excavate riches-- in memeories and "trivia". Americans say
One persons' junk is another's treasure.  You have both, perhaps?  LOL

I don't suppose you go to car boot sales by any chance?
They are the worst temptation to collect stuff. The only way I can force myself to get rid of anything is to give it to the charity shop. (Usualy Oxfam) Then I think how much good that will do and I can manage it. Though there ar still loads of things I can't part with.... you know, the sentimental ones!

Very nice...
to hold what is precious for so long
even when we cannot explain why
the item means what it does...
to collect and cupboard,
paste and staple;
encase and fold
between pages of ageless hardbounds-
does it not seem
that there is something just as precious
in the Heart
of the collector?
