Jane's I do believe before either side begins to be critical
that they know what they are talking about. It gets very splintered when it come to denominations and doctrins. None of this is the "Church".

Amazing how people are so quick to lump the two together, eh?
When they want to blame the "Church" for problems (such as disasters like the Crusades or the priests abusing children), they include Catholics and Christians in their definition of "church." Not so. Of course, evangelicals are not pure as the wind driven snow . . . but it is a very good observation and concern you raise.
