I would say animals definitely have something that a lot of humans seem to lack. They can usually cheer you up when nothing much else will.

I've never seen any animal kingdom parent
Behave as cruelly or violently against their own children as I have human parents. Have you?

Animals are great. My Pepper comes to me when I'm upset. She follows me everywhere until I love on her. It always makes me feel better.

I think animals have a sixth sense
we humans battle to find. Have you ever seen how gentle a normally boisterous big dog is with a baby?

OMGoodness! I was lucky enough to be soothed and comforted by a kitty too last night! Such a magically creature! She made me feel special and eased my aches and pains. Aren't we lucky to be so perceptive to such things? (((((SuNNy)))))

As a whole, I don't think animals are more compassionate. Animals are less emotionally complex than humans and have distinct roles they fill in their "society." The "strong" rule. They accept it. It's the same for animals as humans. The levels of compassion depend on the individual. My wife and I have three cats we love to death, but I've seen what they'll do to another creature that's smaller and weaker than themselves. It's far from compassionate. If you were mouse-sized, I seriously doubt you would've received the same reception.

Sunny, I really think animals are more compassionate and sensitive...
the unconditional love they show us, the love the cats showed you last night...did you have to call them to come to you? Nope. They did it all on their own. Oh that we humans would learn from our pets..
