cond. (sorry, this got away from me)...
that all those hypocrites might not be hypocrites if they had more good role models attending church services from whom they could learn!
When I was a child, my mother always dressed us in our finest for going to church, but she always told us that it wasn't how we dressed outside that was important to God , but how we "dressed" inside...

Corbin, I'm so sorry that you encountered this painful experience when yo
painful experience in church. It is not uncommon, unfortunately; however, I always reply to those who don't attend because of all the hypocrites in church

I am with Justi...you just made me cry! I bet there are a lot of churches that God doesn't visit..probably more now than ever before. The good thing is...God is every where and always will be!

Now you've gone and done it. You have made me cry. Let me tell you there are so many churches and church people who will pay a great price for their lousy pride. God can be found anywhere except in an environment such as that. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I don't know where you found Him but I can see Him in you so I know you found a Relationship not a Showmanship faith. I think rules without relationship breed rebellion. The price will be high for so many. God bless you my brother in the Lord.

Things like this happen so often
It's a wonder why people would try to become a member of a church. Who wants to be lumped in with the rest of these holier-than-thou hypocrites?

The amazing thing......
A couple of years later...I finally told my Mom and Dad what had happened.......they had always wondered why I didn't go back.....instead of getting mad, my Dad started laughing......
You see the very couple that made the comment was the talk of our other neighbors. It seems that they would pull off the country roads at night and drink "their' beer in the car before the got close to the little village we lived in. The were on the board of the church and didn't want to be seen......do you believe that! What hypocrites!!!

I don't know if you can really make such a claim, based on one ignorant narrow-minded parishioner.
I guess the hard thing for a lot of people to accept is, why God would allow
me to go running through their yards, yelling and spinning around.
