I think it was the absurdity of adding the part of the wife having to marry a man who is age 70 or over. It's as if they are building in all sorts of odd loopholes.

It is the obsolete form of practise amongst Hanfi Sunni Muslims
and it is never the general practise amongst the general Muslims , and the clerics are using the old practise to earn fast buck for themselves.Ofcourse , your post is interesting so far as the humorous aspect of it is concerned . Thanks.

Well, normally I might agree with you
but the drunken husband had to hand his wife off to someone else for a day. And 70 or not, it's still 24 hours. Tony Randall became a father at 70.
