Kidnykid again

I've just remembered an old ( Victorian ) music hall song that was still popular when I was a boy back in the 1930s

" It's a geat big shame,

an' if she belonged ter me,

I'd let 'er know oo's oo,

pickin' on a fell wot is six foot free,

an' 'er only five foot two.

Oh, they ain't bin married

not a mumf or two

when underneaf 'er fumb goes Jim,

isn't it a pity when the likes of 'er,

do pick upon the likes of 'im!"

The don't write 'em like that any more, my dear!LOL

Ariel, I hadn't known about the things you mentioned. I'd only know of the romanticization of sexual encounters between young boys and adult women. Thanks for your comment; I learned something.

I agree, which is why I revisited the topic. President Bush and Oprah Winfrey just provided me with a convenient excuse to do that. Thanks, Faholo!

Kidnykid

The subject of abuse of males by females, and child sexual abuse by females are highly obscure, and virtually nobody is doing any serious research on either.

For example, some years ago during surveys carried out in Britain an amazing number of men confessed to being consistently, and violently, abused by their female partners, but as far as I am aware the subject simply died.

One can see how men might be ashamed and inhibited about confessing to having been the victim of such abuse, but this is hardly a valid reason for the entire subject having sunk below the social radar. Or rather, never having risen into it.

In a recent chid sexual abuse case in france, 67 people were sent to jail, and 27 of the abusers were women. These people were selling the sexual services of their children for a food parcel, or a carton of cigarettes. Clearly then, the role of women in sexual abuse requires more research.

This too appears to be a taboo subject, that socities prefer not to think about, far less examine in depth.
