Yes, Cynthia and WWM

I remember the empty skies, too, and how strange that was.

I was on a plane being pushed off the tarmac when we were stopped and eventually brought back in. They evacuated the airport and throngs of people who didn't have cars there, or couldn't snag a cab or another ride, walked the distance up to the freeway, where the traffic was all but stopped. It was interesting to see how people were reacting to the situation.

I started walking toward downtown and back to the hotel, hoping I would find a ride. I finally waved down a cab and had to beg the cabbie to take me. He was so upset, screaming about "collateral damage", I was almost afraid to get in. He was from the Mid East and told me he felt that it had to have been Bin Laden. It was the strangest ride. I was stranded in Cleveland for several days.

Good post Cynthia. Thanks.

Cynthia:

Nice post.  I remember a experiencing a similar sense of the surreal whenever I looked up and there were no white jet streams streaking through the sky.  It's funny the things you don't really notice until they're missing, and then everything seems off.
