well we are suffering in the bannana stakes
mainly due to a cyclone smashing into the coast of tropical north Queensland earlier in the year and ruining the crops... there's nothing sadder than a bruised nana... I just hope there's no problems with mangoes later on... I love slobbering mango juice all over my face

One more thing...
Is it true that people are going bananas over the exuberant prices of fruits in Australia? A$16.99 for a kilo of bananas?   Melody

Rob...
Everyone from time to time suffers from IBS (irritable British syndrome). On rare occasions, I have had these bowel disorders.  Actually, I have a British fetish.  I want to swim in the dirty old waters of Waterloo.  I must also say, as seen through your descriptive words and the eyes of your camera, Australia is charming, picturesque country.  I practice meditation in hopes to be able to surrender to the powers of bi-location.  Perchance one day, you will see me walking down King Street or sitting in St. Mary's Cathedral.        Melody

Rob,

Cheers, mate!!  Now I really wanna see Oz!!  I almost went when I was nineteen, but my family sent me to see some friends in England instead...Hey, here's a plan...When you leave New York to go back, stuff me in your luggage!!!!  Sure, it'll be cramped, but I don't mind.

Also, you mentioned something about an inflatable kangaroo hat for the parade.  Cool!!  I'll be looking forward to seeing pics of you wearing it.

You very kindly asked whether the Nazis have gone into retreat...Nein, they haven't.  If anything, the ones in my back are getting worse!!  Still, life is good, and I wait for the day of liberation.  Thanks for checking up on that...

BTW...I'm still waiting for word on my Tasmanian koala bear stuffy!!!!!

Song lyrics are not exactly like poetry because the melody carries part of the emotion, but they do conjure up memories.  I'm a big Simon and Garfunkle fan from way back.  Good post.
