avant-garde, great post but I've got a problem. Not familiar with obumbrated and I can't find it in my dictionary. Can you help me out here?

You are an artist of my mind! Wonderful posting! I could hear the flocks, visualize them, remember seeing them as we took one more boat ride before pulling it out and winterizing it.

Avant-Garde, "obumbrated", now I have to look that one up!
Which is what I enjoy about your writing. I'm always learning something new. I've seen trees like that sparrow tree, it's like a bird convention!

Published poet no less:cacaphonic sounds reveal their beauty to thine ears!
Yes, yes, YES! I have felt that---and wrote one poem in which the loud toads rule! But here--take this as a sign of gratitude---BTW--marieclaire suggested FIRE for haiku theme tonight. Shalom--

I have always watched nature and there are ballets and symphonies going on all the time out there. This was one of them I could see it from your writing. I love your writing. Be blessed.

Avant, Beautifully expressed. Man has much to learn if only he could listen
In these days of wanton materialistic atrophying, man has stopped listening.

very true, avant-..nature has a rhythm all its own that man tries to
throw a monkey wrench into, but nature (and God) say, "oh no you don't"...I like the starling imagery..can almost hear them.
