John
PostSmile!Hi .. I've missed so much and am trying to catch up with everything you have going on. Don't worry about answering my comments. I'll be pleased when I catch up and know your doing well.

You got it right, Blanche, when it comes to Ell sparing my feelings - she doesn't.  She tells it as it is, or as she sees it.  A friend of ours sits in on a debating society, and we are always trying to coax Ell to join, just to see what would happen.  I think it would spell the death of the society.  But I must admit I do like being told the truth.

JohnMcnab, if you are your own worst critic, it sounds like Ell is the
second worst!  She does have a point about the schmaltz, though.  Even the dog could tell you were laying it on thick.  But, it seems she won't mince words, and will tell you exactly what's good and what's not, rather than sparing your feelings.  That has it's pluses.

Editing is a pain in the butt, word, but the diamond you end up with at the end of the polishing is well worth it.

What a lot of work editing is,
but at least you have someone onsite to read your material, even if you feel you may resort to murder at some point. PostSmile!

Writing them confuses me, Pat.   I'm glad they read OK.

Your comment made me think, kingmi.   What if it is too funny?   I don't think I've seen the 'Funny Farm,' but then with my memory I wouldn't remember anyway.  I take it that it is about a lunatic asylum?

I like the way you put
stories inside stories but never lose the train of thought...  :)

johnmcnab, ut sounds very good. I bet it is funny if Ell was laughing!
You two remind me of the movie Funny Farm. Have you seen it?
