Corbin,
at the very best, we may in the end get a tenuous ceasefire if, and only if, a force with real teeth is inserted into South Lebanon. Even then there is no guarantee that groups other than Hezbollah (but with its blessing and that of Iran, of course) will not continue to launch attacks on Israel.
These people may not be all that competent, but scores of them a willing and possibly eager to die. I think many of them are lusting after the 72 virgins they are promised, although they may not have considered all the implications. For that they might want to take a look at Lensman's latest post...

No big surprise there for sure. I think the only way to achieve this objective would be to blow Iran off the face of the map and thus there would be no supply...

the world is trying to put Hezbollah on the same moral footing with Israel. Duh. Israel is a bonafied Nation. Hezbollah is a well armed, well funded bunch of thugs. What are we doing dealing with them in the UN anyway. The fact that they acted like the Mafia in a fish market and shouldered their way into cabinet seats is neither here or there. That is no real election, or government. If they put down their guns I will pay for lying.

if the ceasefire actually does get into play..as Bob Dylan said...
all it will do is give both sides time to reload...

As much as I would like to see this war end, it seemed unrealistic to believe in a conclusion to the problem and I can say with some certainty that this week will add to the horrific losses. Unless the H ( forgot how to spell it) are removed from all power in the Lebanese government then this was is destined to continue.
Corbin .. Do you believe that H will stop because of a lack of weapons to fight Israel or do you believe that more weapons will find their way into the terrorists hands? I tend to believe they will only stop with a plan to regroup and reap havoc again.
