Fear is not part of our heritage. The Lord said, "I didn't give you a Spirit of fear but one of Power, Love and A Sound Mind (Self Discipline). That is true. You already have the spirit of power and love in you in the Holy Spirit. When we get down to nothing but God, God was all we needed all along. Be blessed my friend. God will never leave us or forsake us. It is good to know these things about the world and be confident in the power of God.

MountainClimber, Prayer is not only a weapon of mass protection but it is also a solid umbrella that protects from the "rain of terror" from those skies that are no longer a clear blue expanse.

Alt way to see it.Orwellian. Some want to be more equal than others anyway
they can--and God becomes a commodity, a weapon of mass offensive diplomacy against "competition". Hence, some give up on religion but not on God. Others throw out the baby with the used bath-water...shalom. We have a weapon of mass protection--the Lord's Prayer.
