Jentoblues--- Wish that I'd had this insight of yours before my two
forays into internet matchmaking: "Remember though, Alan, that this medium of communication is one-dimensional. Even my honesty will be contrived in that I'll always be searching for the right words or ideal answer, and it's quite likely that you'll develop a picture of me that is flattering and inaccurate, despite both our attempts to the contrary."
Thanks for saying it so well, and, if I ever again decide to meet women that way (I have no inclination to do so right now, even though I have no prospects in this rural area), I certainly will remember what you said.
