I think one of the distinctions between the two, is that most of the members of Blogit are mature adults. MySpace seems to be for teenagers and young adults from what I can tell. Thanks for reading.
Keep reading, writing and smiling.

I wanted to check out My Space, I was curious.....they actually have the site restricted over here in Dubai.....that is one thing that I miss about the US....no restrictions.....but maybe it is a good thing considering all of the mayhem going on about MySpace back in the States.
I'm happy with Blogit.....I have really been connecting with some interesting, loving, creative and support people.

StrickGold,
Interesting post. I had some similar thoughts about Blogit and MySpace too. It's funny how we bloggers tend to think alike. I think places like Blogit and MySpace can be excellent social tools, but we have to be smart and cautious about how we present ourselves. Also, I agree with you that identity thefting has gotten a great boost from life on the Internet. Thanks. :)

That is true - but we do exactly what we are telling our kids not to do.

I recall a lot of media attention being paid in Chicagoland to all the predators attracted to MySpace.com. The only real difference I can see - at least in their blog function - is that we get paid for our blogs here on Blogit, but one apparently does not get paid for blogging on MySpace.

I've heard about the popularity of my space especially for promoting music.

Oh, well, my life is an open book, anyway.
The good thing about Blogit, is that at least I have a general idea who's reading me. I have no clue who's reading my (wildly popular) online journal. And that's a little scary.
If you get invited to your first orgy, don't just show up nude.
That's a common mistake. You have to let nudity "happen."
