Gomedome…..ha, ha, you are too funny!
I laughed out loud at your first paragraph. Must you have a motive for everything? Actually, I enjoy the blogit a great deal, but the rigors of business life do not permit me to spend inordinate amounts of time here. And I’m certainly trying my best not to be a pain in your ass, but you do seem so easily riled, it is quite difficult. Perhaps another holiday would be in order for you?

Odysseus - am I supposed to be impressed?

I did my holiday time 2 weeks ago, similar setting. Actually, I cannot imagine anything that I would find to be less than an idyllic setting than as you describe.  I am incapable of smoking a cigar without gagging, I'm not much of a drinker except the occasional beer and my days of eating uncooked food are long gone thankfully. Then there would be the question of being a captive audience to you. Maybe the bible thumpers are correct,... hell does exist.

As for your motives? ..who can say for sure what compels a man to do what you have just done/are doing. Within a few hours of returning to Blogit you were involved in lengthy discussions via comments with both Kooka and myself, the 2 persons that you have had the most conflict with during your time on Blogit. I have always been suspicious of your disconnect in intelligence versus response in comments, you have demonstrated this before in the past. I can only conclude that the stupidity in your responses is a conscious ploy, an attempt to be disruptive or intentionally annoying. As I said in my last comment, no one could possibly be that stupid, I do not believe that you are that stupid....but you are a major pain in the ass, which is as I have come to realize your intention and sadly,

.... the best that you can come up with.

Kooka, And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us...

Gomedome...in case you're interested in seeing the view from the balcony...

So I am having a holiday, but the part I don't understand is the revenge. Why would I be seeking revenge? Isn't it your contention that you and poor Kooka are the afflicted through all of this? No, I’m not a seeker of revenge, but rather, peace and serenity. Imagine for a moment that we’re sitting out on this balcony together, having a nice cigar, watching the waves come in and enjoying the marvels of the creation. We’ve got a tray of martini’s and a Japanese guy in the kitchen cutting sushi. It’s just too great! How could there not be a God? Ooops, better run inside, the Japanese guy is trying to get fresh with Penelope! See ya!

kooka_lives - we are being had
When you step back and give it some thought, it all makes sense. Speaking in hypotheticals and not of anyone specifically (I've just developed a new disease called "amnesia of convenience")......a former blogger saw his name mentioned in a scathing comment, decided to renew his/her Blogit subscription while they were on holidays and come back to attempt some sort of revenge. ...but this hypothetical blogger has had a few warnings so must be careful with how they go about it. Denying things that they have said in the past, intentionally misinterpreting statements, making more denials and generally making themselves annoying, is actually a gameplan. All we have to do is ignore this hypothetical blogger and the gameplan falls apart, the holidays are over and he/she is gone. Let me put it to you another way: there is some chucklehead sitting in a cottage somewhere, sipping a few cooly pops, while getting his jollies by playing childish games. No one is this stupid, we are being had.

Ody
The problem is you do not understand what the insults are.  When you say something such as " that you guys were still struggling with this eight months after I left", that is insulting us.  it is saying you were so great in what you said that we are just over come by it and are unable to escape the greatness that is you.  When that is about as far from the truth as it gets.  You are so caught up in yourself that you do not even come close to understanding what is being said in opposition to you.  You so do not believe that your fart don't stink that if someone tells you that your farts stick, you tell them 'thank you for complementing my farts, I am glad you enjoy them'.

In truth we are not struggling with it at all.  The struggle is with you and the way you seem to perceive The meanings of our words.  Your ideas are way too easy to dismiss because they really are simple and poorly thought out.

You real problem is you really have the whole messiah thing going so strong that you are just beyond belief removed from reality and believe yourself to be this being who's words or so great.

Once more, get over yourself.

I am really starting to remember while I have never liked dealing with you.  You are either beyond belief clueless or you are just trying to see if you can annoy us to the point of anger.

Go figure?
Kooka………..I did not issue an insult to you, only an offer for peace, which you simply return with more insults. And you say the problems in the Mid East are due to my way of thinking?

kooka_lives - okay, well that basically covers it

We're not struggling with anything.  We just have good memories and we THINK about things.  Read the post again and really read it this time.  I was talking about how I wa thinking about why the Middle East is so screwed up and ti came to me that your way fo thinking is the problem.  You need to get everyone to agree to the concepts of  a'perfect circle' is the kind of thinking that causes wars and destruction.

Get over yourself.

If you wish to 'bury the hatchet' stop insulting us and making implications.  How soon will it be until you make some stupid, ignorant comment that is nothing but an insult towards all who do not believe as you do?  That is the problem here.

I would love to end this, but you keep showing up and making you comments that basically are you saying you are so much more enlightened than us (Which you are not) and that we are so torn because of your words (Which we are not) and so on, showing your messiah complex and basically just being annoying. You keep things going in a circle because you can not change your tune and are unwilling to actually grasp what it is we are saying to you.

Kooka….As gomedome point’s out, it’s really quite amazing
that you guys were still struggling with this eight months after I left and still going “round and round” in the imperfect circle with it. Anyway, like gomedome, I think we’ve beaten it to death. I’ve reposted some of the pertinent essays in my blog for anyone that is interested in the argument. What I’d really like to do is just bury the hatchet with you guys and move on.

and TRUTH is beyond words
beyond thought, beyond self consciousness

kooka_lives - do you know what I find particularly amazing?
How easily both you and I were sucked into the old game of "round and round we go" with the return of an old protagonist. The same old arguments, the same clouded logic and the same old nonsense didn't take very long to resurface. I look at some of the exchanges of the past couple of days, the number of comments that I have written discussing long since beaten to death issues, and realize how futile it all is. I personally have had enough of it and am going to make an effort just to keep out of it. I wondered of your feelings about this?

words do posses power in that they carry
such varied and complex meaning for each and everry individual. One word can literally mean volumes and inspire many images to one person, thast is why they must be used with precision and care like an engineer designing a bridge or rocket. Or a bomb.
