Of Republicrats and Democans

Unfortunately we have a one-party system today. The one political party is alternatively known as the "Republicrats" or the "Democans." By either name, it feeds at the same funding trough of Wall Street financiers. It also tends to support the same foreign policy of permanent war; in one era it preoccupies itself with a "Cold War," in the next it whips people into frenzy with war on Islam, a.k.a. "War on Terror."

Rarely, if ever does this one party support policies that would create conditions that would reduce international tension; policies such as a strategy for large infrastructure development. Instead the single party is happy to perpetuate a mounting world debt, and currency speculation that produce poverty and ignorance -- this coupled with a military policy of occupation creates fertile recruiting ground for "terrorists."

Our one-party system embraces Wall Street and turns its back on Main Street. Neither party opposes deindustrialization, privatization of vital national infrastructure, deregulation of privatized infrastructure, globalization, and cheap products by cheap labor. Both parts of this one-party system project austerity measures as the solution to our mounting fiscal crisis.

You are right, we have a one-party system. Both political parties are dancing to the same tune on the most important domestic and foreign policy issues facing the republic. Both parties seem to think the same way. This is bad for the nation, and bad for our future.

I agree with your premise
I just wish there was a better party to vote for.
