...and a death wish?
We had a man cutting open the casing of a 500 lb bomb (surplus/empty) when he was blown across the salvage yard but was essentially unhurt (couple broken bones and concussion). The press etc got all het up over the guv'mint releasing a surplus bomb with explosives in it, when it was pointed out that 500 lbs would have aerosoled the worker ("pink mist" as they called it on "SCRUBS") and disassembled the whole scrap complex.
The acetylene cutting torch had leaked acetylene gas into the area and it had been set off by the torch, eventually. Extremely dangerous, but in open air it was more propulsive than destructive.
Gomedome, King of Salvage, take note.
