ariel70 - that is one thing that I have experienced to the point of nausea
as well.
I've had many people wander into this comment section and just declare that what they believe to be true in terms of religius beliefs, is irrefutable fact. ...and I couldn't agree more that the world will never progress beyond a certain point until people in general loose these habits.

Oh, yes!!!
The thing that irritates, outrages and depresses me most about Blogit is the casual way that mere opinions of offered -- no, cancel that -- is rammed down one's throat as proved, incontrovertible fact.
Like you, I believe that there's no God, or gods ; that certain things are true in, for example, politics, and I back these opinions up with facts, as far as I'm able.
The moment one states " I'm write and you're wrong!" is the moment that logic, reason, rationality goes out the window, and dogma rule ; Truth left bleeding on the floor.
The world will never change as long as tis attitude survives among so many people.
